Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian singer-songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. DiFranco classifies her music as folk-rock or alternative. However, it includes influences like punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani Difranco has been widely acknowledged as a pioneer of music that is feminist. In the year 1990, she was among the first artists to create her own independent record label. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They met in their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian descent and her mother came originally from Montreal. Ani's song, 32 Flavors, was composed by her and sung by Ani. This song was released on DiFranco's 1995 sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. A variation of the song is featured in the soundtrack to 1999's Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco has since apologized after it became known that she was scheduled to hold an event for three days on an Louisiana former plantation for slaves. The workshop was cancelled, but she didn't show any regret. DiFranco apologized again a few days afterward. Little Folksinger is an artist who has worked with musicians ranging from Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. New Orleans is where she lives. Ani DiFranco is married to Kristen Ford. In the span of 14 months, DiFranco began writing her own songs. She performed them at bars and in coffee shops all through her teenage years. DiFranco graduated from her Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school in the year 16, and enrolled in the classes of Buffalo State College. Her new baritone guitar was a custom Alvarez built following a series of consultations between her myself and Chrys Johnson who was an artist rep for Alvarez when the guitar was made. It comes with the System 600 amp and is entirely made of solid woods. This includes the body with a mahogany top and cedar sides with an ebony-fretboard. DiFranco reside in New Orleans, with her family members: spouse and two children. Lefty is their dog companion who comes and goes when she speaks. DiFranco acknowledges that more than three decades after her initial appearance in the world of music, she isn't sure what to expect when looking back. Ani DiFranco is a Pop/Punk singer-songwriter. The singer-songwriter achieved hero not only among critics and fans but also at age 25 with Not A Pretty Girl, 1995. Dilate was even more popular in 1996. The song Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) is a 1972 song by American pop group Looking Glass from their debut album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie wrote the song.
