Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenezon September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]) is an American and Mexican actress. She began her career in Mexico with starring roles in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were only some of her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also co-produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[6as well as earning her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek was a part of the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico movies in the years after and then remained focused on directing.
